Truck Driving Championships

Criteria of a company championship as a pre-requisite to enter drivers in the Provincial and National Championships.

Must be a registered company that has transportation as an integral part of it’s operations with a minimum of five (5) drivers that meet the eligibility rules for provincial and national competition and compete in a company competition and shall have a minimum of two (2) competitors in any one class.
Company championships shall include a minimum of a pre-trip inspection and a minimum of any three (3) obstacles as outlined in the Driver’s Kit and Rule Book.
For the purpose of determining five (5) drivers the following classes of drivers will apply:
- company;
- regularly engaged contract driver (75% driving time with company);
- and owner operators.
Letter from the company shall accompany the provincial registration forms stating the competition took place, listing date and components of the competition.
In order to compete a driver must report for work to his/her terminal/base of operations/location/depot, which must be in the province of Ontario.

Criteria of a Regional Championship as a pre-requisite to enter drivers in the Provincial and National Championships.

When an eligible drivers’ terminal base of operations or depot is within the boundaries of a recognized (by OTDC) regional championship, that driver may only enter provincial championship through the authority of a regional championship or a company championship.

The following events are sanctioned as a regional championship authorized to enter contestants in the Provincial Championships. Their boundaries are:

Central Ontario

West of Highway 25, westerly limits of the City of London, and south of Highway 9 to the lake.

Grey Bruce County

Toronto

East side of Highway 25 to west side of Highway 12, up to and including Barrie, and to the lake.

For any terminal/base of operations/location/depot not within these boundaries, the driver(s) may enter the provincial championship directly.
